Our fellow citizen Dejan Trajković was born in Leskovac in 1973. Modest, honest and hardworking, he describes himself as a self-taught painter. His love for art and painting determined his occupation in life. Perhaps the review he received from Milica Mihailovic, an art historian, at the opening of the exhibition in the Perunov Gallery in 2016 speaks best of his paintings – “Dejan Trajković’s painting shows the energy that is in constant circulation, a permanence that is reflected through water, the river. The circle of truth is reflected through the prism of hyperrealism, light and photographic accuracy. The image is a frozen moment. The artist’s creation seeks to tame the elusive”. It is clear why we proudly agreed to create a kind of online gallery for him.

As for the design itself, we had a clear vision how the future site should look right from the start.
As Dejan gave us complete freedom we decided on a presentation site, with a simple but effective design! What you will immediately notice is the bilingual nature of the site, which has Serbian and English versions.
The accent was the images. The idea was to enable visitors who are not so lucky to see his works live enjoy at least a little.
We chose WordPress as the platform for the realization of this project. The home page is decorated with a carousel where some of Dejan’s favorite works alternate. The soft white color palette provides a calming effect. The central part of this bilingual online studio is certainly the picture gallery. A simple slider on which users can view all of Dejan’s masterpieces gives users the opportunity to, at least, peek into his world of painting. The site is fully optimized and responsive, so users can enjoy it equally on desktop computers as well as via tablets and mobile devices.
